1. Visa type:
Stamped visa: is the type that is affixed directly to the passport page;
Removable visa: is the type that is issued with a separate sheet attached to the passport or valid travel document in lieu of the passport .
2. Visa value:
Visa valid for single entry and exit (referred to as single-entry visa);
Visa with multiple entry and exit value (referred to as multiple-entry visa for short) times).
3. Visa symbol:
NG1 – Issued to members of the delegation invited by the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the President, the President of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister.
NG2 – Issued to members of the delegation invited by the Standing Committee of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vice President of the State, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nam, Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, Chief Procurator of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, State Auditor General; members of guest delegations of the same level of ministers and equivalents, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, President of the People’s Council, President of the People’s Committee of the province or city directly under the Central Government.
NG3 – Issued to members of diplomatic missions, consular offices, representative offices of international organizations of the United Nations, representative offices of intergovernmental organizations and their spouses, children under 18 years of age, NG4 – Issued to people entering to work with diplomatic missions, consular offices, representative offices of international organizations of the United Nations, and representative offices of international organizations. an intergovernmental organization and accompanying spouses and children under 18 years of age; visitors to members of diplomatic missions, consular offices, representative offices of international organizations of the United Nations, representative offices of intergovernmental organizations.
LV1 – Issued to people entering the workforce. working with departments, agencies and units directly under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; National Assembly, Government, Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, Supreme People’s Court, Supreme People’s Procuracy, State Audit, ministries, ministerial-level agencies, Governmental agencies ; Provincial Party Committee, City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee of provinces and centrally run cities.
LV2 – Issued to people entering to work with socio-political organizations, social organizations, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
LS – Issued to foreign lawyers practicing in Vietnam.
DT1 – Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investment in Vietnam with a contributed capital of VND 100 billion or more, or investment in industries and trades eligible for investment incentives, or geographical areas with investment incentives decided by the Government.
DT2 – Granted to investors Foreigners in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with a contributed capital of between VND 50 billion and under VND 100 billion, or investing in industries or trades that encourage development investment as decided by the Government. DT3 – Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with contributed capital from 03 billion VND to less than 50 billion VND.
DT4 – Issued to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with contributed capital of less than VND 03 billion.
DN1 – Granted to foreigners working with enterprises , other organizations with legal status as prescribed by Vietnamese law.
DN2 – Granting foreigners access to offer services, establish commercial presence, and perform other activities under treaties. international organizations to which Vietnam is a member.
NN1 – Issued to persons who are heads of representative offices and projects of international organizations and foreign non-governmental organizations in Vietnam.
NN2 – Issued to heads of representative offices, branches of foreign traders, representative offices of economic, cultural and other professional organizations of foreign countries in Vietnam.
NN3 – Issued to employees working with foreign non-governmental organizations, representative offices, branches of foreign traders, representative offices of foreign economic, cultural and other professional organizations in Vietnam.
DH – Issued to people entering to practice and study.
HN – Issued to people entering conferences and seminars.
PV1 – Issued to reporters and newspapers residing in Vietnam.
PV2 – Issued to reporters and press to work in Vietnam for a short time.
LD1 – Issued to foreigners working in Vietnam with certification that they are not eligible for work permits, except in the case of international treaties. There are different regulations in the economic sectors of which Vietnam is a member.
LD2 – Issued to foreigners working in Vietnam who are required to have a work permit.
DL – Issued to people entering tourism.
TT – Issued to foreigners who are spouses, children under 18 years of age of foreigners who are granted visas with symbols LV1, LV2, LS, DT1, DT2, DT3, NN1, NN2, DH, PV1, LD1, LD2 or foreigners who are fathers, mothers, spouses, children of Vietnamese citizens.
VR – Issued to people visiting relatives or for other purposes.
SQ – Heads of competent agencies Vietnam’s visa-issuing rights abroad grant visas valid for no more than 30 days to foreigners wishing to enter Vietnam to survey the market, travel, visit relatives, or receive medical treatment in the following cases: Here: * Persons who have a working relationship with the competent Vietnamese visa-issuing agency abroad and their spouses, children or the person who has a written request from the competent agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the host country ;
